Due to the ongoing issues in parliament with Brexit and the resulting extension of the process we have been informed that the school will now need to be used as a voting station for the European Elections. I am sure that you understand that this decision is totally out of my hands and we have been instructed that the school will be used for this purpose, this is also a situation I have been unable to plan for.
We have therefore had to make Thursday 23rd May and Friday 24th May Teacher Training Days. Pupils will finish school for the Spring Bank Holiday half term on Wednesday 22nd May 2019. This does make the next half term extremely short, again the planning of school holidays is done by the Local Authority. Pupils will return to school on Monday 3rd June 2019.
I can only apologise for the late notification of these arrangements, however, this has been completely out of our hands due to the late notifications of the UKs involvement in elections. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
