Attendance at The Levett School is a top priority. We work closely with parents to support every child in attending regularly and take a proactive and supportive approach where attendance is becoming a concern. The school closely monitors pupils at risk to ensure families receive the right support at the right time. We aim to celebrate good attendance through weekly class discussions, competitions, assembly celebrations, praise letters, certificates and rewards for pupils achieving over 96%, reinforcing the importance of regular attendance in a positive and encouraging way. Where needed, we may be required to follow formal attendance process which may include attendance support plan meetings and SMART target setting. Continuous poor attendance with no improvement from school intervention may result in referrals to the Local Authority Education Welfare Officer, attendance panel meetings with the LA and legal action.
